Very fragile sword...

I bought this for my daughters 5th birthday on behalf of my 3 year old daughter. They both love watching 'Barbie and the Three Musketeers' film and so this doll was a good choice.
I was a bit concerned about the sword after reading several other reviews, but hoped they were exagerating... but they weren't. The sword broke in less than an hour...
However the actual doll and outfit are fine and are one of the favourite birthday presents received.
(To be honest you might as well throw the sword away, rather than giving it to your child, who will only get upset as soon as it breaks!) |

| My daughter is well pleased with the doll. The multi-purpose cape/skirt is a clever touch. The flimsy sword didn't stand a chance in the hands of my three year old son - bent and snapped in a few seconds flat. Beware Girls... don't let your little brothers near your stuff! |
Good barbie all girls would love it

I bought this for my niece and was told with a week the sword had broke in two.
I'm no expert, but you'd presume that a certain amount of testing is required for toys for young children?
Mattel, please step up! |

| The doll is exactly what my daughter wanted having got the dvd, she uses it in role play to make up stories. The dress comes off easily and turns inside out, fixing round the neck for a cape. The tiara/ mask is fixed in its head and goes up and down easily on Barbies head. The only drawback is the sword is very flimsy and a friend warned me that hers was broken quite quickly after use. So I keep the sword for supervised play and so far its still intact! |
