We bought this monitor just before the birth of our first baby and have used it now, every day, for 11 months. I cannot praise the product highly enough. It is hugely reassuring to be able to see as well as hear our baby girl (particularly now that she is becoming more mobile) and, for us, a sound only monitor would not have provided that reassurance. My wife has dropped the monitor onto hard floors on numerous occasions and even submerged it in water for a period! It has survived all of this, the screen as bright and detailed as ever. It is a well-made product.
The range is very good, although the image does become slightly grainy the further from the camera you get. The signal does seem to interrupt our WiFi connection but moving the monitor a couple of metres away cures this. There is a light on the camera that flashes in the dark (presumably infrared) but it does not "shine" like a light and it has never bothered our baby. When the camera is moved using the joystick on the monitor it moves quietly. This is a useful function to enable you to centre on the baby. The zoom function (one step only) is a nice touch too.
As I said I cannot praise this product highly enough - I doubt you will be disappointed if you buy one. |

| We had previously owned the Nscessity Digital Wireless Camera Monitor and had to replace it with a new monitor after my 2 year old son had thrown it on the floor several times. I picked this camera because I thought the pan / zoom function was so cool, especially testing it in the store. We are very happy with the camera and it's great that I can zoom in to see my son sleeping, pan the nursery to see him play and the screen is much larger than Nscessity monitor I used to own. I don't find the battery lasting very long, I do need to charge it each night. Also, if the monitor is running on the battery the video will turn off after several minutes to save on the battery life, so you need to press the button on the top to see your baby if the video is on standby mode. The one thing I wish it would do that the Nscessity Monitor does is that when the baby wakes up (stirs or cries) the video would automatically turn on to you can see what is happening; this would be an asset for mothers cooking in the kitchen. Lastly the range is not as high as other monitors in the market, but we live in an apartment so it's fine for us, however I could see it being a problem for people living in large houses. I noticed a comment on the resolution or video quality and I personally find it to be fine, after all this is a baby monitor and not a HDD camera for family videos! I'm expecting a second child and planning to get an additional camera so I can see both my children in one monitor. |

I searched hi and low for the best baby digital video monitor, and trust me I was reading reviews for about a week non stop!!!! So I finally bought this one. The Baby Zoom Infant monitor has a good quality picture, the remote pan and zoom is an excellent feature and everything it states on the box this monitor does. Unfortunately for me it doesn't like my wireless internet. So if the monitor is turned on i cannot use the internet at all, the second I switch it off my internet connection comes back up. This is a huge issue as when my little one is sleeping it's my time to do everything else I need to, and often it involves the internet for one reason or another. After all we live in a world where you can pretty much do everything over the internet!!
I tried everything to get around this as I really do love everything else about this monitor, especially the remote pan and zoom, such an amazing feature, why other monitors don't have it is a mistery! I even got my IT specialist husband to change our router frequencies manually and he tried each one, but unfortunately none of them worked with this monitor. | This video monitor is a god send ,it's such peace of mind to see your baby at night it picks up the slightest sound even a dummy dropping out, it's great quality i couldnt fault it , also good as it's secure so no-one could get into the video. very pleased well worth the money |

| I spent hours trawling the internet for the "perfect" baby monitor, one with two way talkback, lullabies, night vision, zoom facility etc - it does not exist in my opinion!! But ..... I have now owned this monitor for the last few days and I have to say it definately works for me. It has a good camera (totally sufficient to see my baby perfectly, even seeing him breathe which is good for worrying mummies like me), the pan/zoom facility is excellent as if my baby moves I can move the camera to see him. There is no noise emitted from the monitor either. All in all although it does not have all the things I want it certainly is a good monitor and I would recommend it to all my family and friends. |
